What is Cub Scouts?
Cub Scouts is a non-profit program within the Boy Scouts of America that serves youth from 6 to 11 years old. We aim to prepare youth to grow into self-reliant and dependable adults. It is entirely run by adult volunteers.
We don’t just accept kids; we also accept adult volunteers in our pack!
How is it organized?
We set up Dens based on grade levels, to ensure that everyone is learning the appropriate lessons. Each den has 1-2 meetings per month.
All the Dens belong to the same pack, and we have pack meetings once a month, where we all get together, regardless of grade levels, to share awards, announcements, and fun events (like camping).
How much is it?
The dues are $100 for the whole year for 1st to 4th grade, $80 for 5th grade. If you decide to pay before October, we give a $10 discount. We can also set up auto recurring payment through Square. Moreover, we expect all the scouts to participate in fundraisers (Ex: Selling Popcorn).
Where does that money go?
The money goes toward recharter, award recognition, and party. Recharter is where we pay our dues to the Boy Scout of America to use their name and facilities, and we pay from $66 to $91 depending on new or renewing scouts. We also spend on average $20 per scout on patches, belt loops, and party supplies like food and drinks.
If you do the math, the monthly dues are not enough to cover everything, which is why we ask everyone to:
What is the uniform code and how much is that?
For scouts who isn’t ready to commit, they can wear our red t-shirt ($10).
For committed scouts:
